![](https://peplatform.org/hs-fs/hubfs/pexels-mike-jones-9052296-1.jpeg?width=1160&height=580&name=pexels-mike-jones-9052296-1.jpeg)近年、ビジネスアクセラレーターは世界中の起業家エコシステムの礎となっています。しかし、その人気が高まる一方で、重要な疑問が残されています。それは、これらのプログラムの具体的にどの要素が効果を生んでいるのか、そして誰に対して有効なのかという点です。

[私たちの新しい研究](https://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=5001710)では、起業家トレーニングにおける2つの基本的なアプローチを区別するべき実験的な証拠を初めて明らかにしました。その二つのアプローチとは、「経営能力の開発」（経営効率に焦点を当てたもの）と「起業家能力の開発」（機会の探求とネットワーク構築を重視したもの）です。

 

## ターゲットを絞った教育の提供で、事業の成長を強力に引き出すことができる

私たちはコロンビアで300人以上の起業家を対象に、経営能力トレーニングまたは起業家能力トレーニングのいずれかをランダムに割り当てて行いました。その結果は、起業家支援において全員に同じトレーニングを提供することが必ずしも最良ではないことを示しています。

- 平均的な起業家にとっては、経営能力トレーニングの方がより効果的であり、起業家能力トレーニングを受けた場合に比べて売上成長が18%速く進みました。
- しかし、高成長の可能性を持つ事業にとっては、起業家能力トレーニングが驚異的な成果を引き出し、43%速い成長を遂げ、より多くのフルタイムの雇用機会を創出しました。
- 経営能力トレーニングを受けた起業家は、管理業務に費やす時間が17%減少し、その分、運営のモニタリングやパフォーマンス指標の導入に集中することができました。一方、起業家能力トレーニングを受けた企業は、主に製品やサービスのアップグレードを通じてイノベーションを起こす可能性が高くなりました。

 

## 研究から実践へ

今回の発見は、政策立案者やアクセラレータープログラムにとって重要な意味を持ちます。最大の教訓は「ターゲティングが重要」ということです。ビジネスアクセラレーターは、起業家を支援する強力なツールとなり得ますが、その効果はトレーニングの種類と対象となる起業家とのマッチングに大きく依存します。

初期段階の事業が成長するにつれて、起業家は[増加する管理業務に対処し](https://www.innovationgrowthlab.org/blog/venture-growth-strategy-how-do-entrepreneurs-spend-their-time)、運営プロセスを構築し、市場拡大に取り組む必要があります。ビジネスアクセラレーターは、これらの成長に伴う課題に対応する能力を提供します。大多数の事業にとっては、経営能力トレーニングを通じて強固な運営基盤を構築することが優先されるべきです。これにより、起業家はより効率的に事業を運営し、確固たるモニタリングシステムを確立することができます。しかし、成長の可能性が高い事業に対してのプログラムでは、起業家能力の開発に焦点を当て、新たな機会を探り、ネットワークを構築し、迅速に規模を拡大するべきです。このターゲットを絞ったアプローチにより、投資されたリソースの効果を最大化し、起業家が自社の事業に最も役立つ能力を獲得できるようになります。

今後の研究では、高成長の可能性を持つ事業をより正確に特定する方法の探求、チームの構築や委任が成長に伴う課題をどのように軽減できるかの検討、そしてよりターゲットを絞ったアプローチをビジネスアクセラレーターがどのように実践できるかを調査する必要があります。
